The first gene therapy trial was conducted on 14 September, 1990 at National Institute of Health, USA. She was patient suffering from ADA Deficiency (<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Adenosine deaminase deficiency &#8211; an autosomal recessive metabolic disorder that causes immunodeficiency<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> which made her prone to infections.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Q.
