Dear Editor,<\/span><\/p>\n

North-East India is known widely for its immensely rich culture and biodiversity. In the last few decades, North-East India has also advanced in terms of the quality of research in the field of basic and applied sciences. The young minds of this region hold great potential and with proper guidance and exposure, they have the capability of contributing something significant to the scientific world. However, with science being ever changing and constantly evolving, hindsight by someone involved in this field is absolutely necessary to familiarize these young minds with what is new in the scientific world.<\/span><\/p>\n

As quoted by Margaret Fuller, \u201cIf you have knowledge, let others light their candles in it.\u201d <\/strong> BioNE (initiated by BABRONE team, CVSc, AAU, Khanapara, Guwahati) has been serving as a platform where scholars from across the country have come together to share their knowledge and assert their notions regarding the trending topics in the field of science. Since its first issue, BioNE has been helping in sculpting the perspective of students from different fields and in encouraging their inquisitive mind. In a time where the physical newspapers and magazines are sidelined by the extensive utility of technology, the e-magazine BioNE has been successful in leaving an impact due to its easy accessibility; making quality content just a click away from the readers. I believe that this initiative will be fruitful in influencing students and scholars alike from not only the North-Eastern Region but all over the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

At last, I would like to congratulate and convey my best wishes to the entire team for the completion of yet another successful issue of the e-zine \u201cBioNE\u201d. I eagerly look forward to the next issue.<\/span><\/p>\n

Science had evolved with the evolution of mankind and it has shaped the civilization through critical thinking and revealing the nature. Since the dawn of civilization, human beings are constantly related with science and making revolution throughout the history. From the discovery of a single cell to the curing of the most dangerous diseases and travelling to the interstellar, humans have evolved to be the most intelligent species known today among the animal kingdom and this is because of the utilization of science as a tool through critical thinking and developing new ideas. Since science is divided into its many branches, studying each branch gives us knowledge pertaining to that particular field. The present era is called the era of science and it is spreading scientific knowledge across the globe.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the branch of Biological Science, the \u201cBioNE\u201d is providing a great platform to the people of NE India in order to understand science. NE India is endowed with its natural resources (flora and fauna) and from time immemorial people of this region are relying on these resources for their survival. With advancement of knowledge and understanding about the value of these resources, many young scientific minds are now engaged in the field of biological research. This kind of e-zine is very helpful since people from distant location can also have access to the scientific article and research papers. Now-a-days, good scientific research is being carried out in many institutions of NE India. This is the beginning of an era of learning and BioNE is doing a great job by creating awareness as well as providing knowledge. This is a great step taken by the Team BABRONE, C.V.Sc., A.A.U., which will further create hunger for learning science.<\/span><\/p>\n

Doing something that will be helpful for its own people is a much acknowledgable work and I would like to congratulate to the BABRONE team for this initiative. Further, the scientific methodologies and their pros and cones should be well spread to the very young people of NE as far as possible. In the schools, scientific programs and seminar should be held in order to teach something new in the scientific field.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finally, wishing all the best to the team BioNE and hoping to see something new in the upcoming issues.<\/span><\/p>\n

To the all scientific minds out there, here is a quote by the great scientist of NASA, Carl Sagan-<\/span><\/p>\n
