About the Salient Achievements of the Department:
Development of a wide range of value-added fish products including fish pickle, fish cutlet, fish sausage, fish ball, fish papad, deboned fish slabs and hygienically prepared dry fish. Successfully transferred fish pickle technology to private entrepreneurs for commercial production. Developed herbal-treated dry fish products to improve product quality and shelf life. Demonstrated Solar Kiln Dryer Technology under the APART project at 10 locations across different districts of Assam for hygienic fish drying.
